The former RHOBH star tied the knot to John Bluher over the weekend—and now she's opening up about her big day in an emotional interview with People. "I couldn't fathom ever loving somebody again," she says, "[or] ever trusting somebody again."

The pursuit of true love has been a horrific one for Taylor, who endured a turbulent marriage to her first husband Russell. He committed suicide in 2011, and she and her daughter Kennedy were left to heal under the scrutiny of the public eye. Taylor consulted attorney John Bluher to aid her in the legal troubles she encountered after Russell's passing and the two forged a fast friendship that would later blossom into romance.

Taylor knew she'd found the one when John accepted her for who she was, which was a drastic change from her last marriage. "I said to John when we first started having feelings for each other, 'I'm exhausted, and I can't change anymore,'" she says. "In my marriage there was so much control and you have to act this way or be this way or your dress is too short or too long—I hated the person I had become. I was constantly trying to be someone who was going to make [Russell] happy. So I told John, 'If you want to love me, you're going to have to love me exactly like I am.' And he has stuck to that 100 percent."

The happy duo even made it through the reality TV ringer together: they starred on Couples Therapy before getting hitched. John has also legally adopted Kennedy and Taylor is thrilled for the positive change in her daughter's life.

"One of my biggest regrets with my past relationship was that I wasn't strong enough to get out sooner," Taylor continues. "Kennedy wasn't exposed to the physicality of it, but she clearly knew something was wrong. Now, for her to get a father and see a healthy, very equal relationship, we're showing her what she deserves."

Loving marriage, a positive father figure in Kennedy's life and a fresh start: it really sounds like Taylor's found her Prince Charming and that she's ready to start the next chapter in her life, and we couldn't be happier for her!
