Teresa Giudice Opens Up About Daughter Gia Giudice Going Off to College: "I'm Not Trying to Hold Her Back"
All of The Real Housewives of New Jersey daughters have really come into their own, according to their mom.
Season after season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, we're reminded of two things: Teresa Giudice's daughters are too cute and they're growing up so fast! That has especially been the case lately, not just because Teresa has posted the cheeriest photos of Gia, Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana this holiday season, but also because of the fact that her eldest is about to embark on the next chapter of her life.
Yes, if you've been keeping up with the Giudices, you know that Gia is getting ready to go to college. After visiting Rutgers University with her mom in the fall, Gia has been accepted to at least four colleges so far: Quinnipiac University, the University of Alabama, Penn State, and the University of Scranton.
Teresa couldn't be more proud of seeing her eldest child leave the nest. "I'm not trying to hold her back. I want her to go, and I want her to experience that," the RHONJ mom said during an interview with The Daily Dish earlier this season (clip above). "I think it's gonna be amazing."
Although Gia is hoping to stay local when it comes to college, according to Teresa, her mom is very confident in whatever direction her daughter decides to take in life. "Gia's very mature, very grounded," Teresa said. "She knows what she wants."
We've watched all of Teresa's daughters blossom into beautiful young women since Season 1 of RHONJ. As Season 9 continues to air Wednesdays at 9/8c, we're really getting to see the girls come into their own and show their distinct personalities. Watch Teresa gush about her special girls in the video, above.
Teresa shared with The Daily Dish that "it's an amazing feeling" seeing the incredible people her daughters have become. "I live for them. I wake up every morning because of them. They've been through a lot and their strength, they're pretty amazing. They even amaze me," she said. "Sometimes as a mom, you don't know if you're doing a good job, but when I see my daughters, how they're growing up and how they are, then I'm like, 'Thank you, God.' I'm doing a good job."
