Teresa Giudice Opens up About Caring for Her Ailing Father: "We Can't Catch a Break"
The Real Housewives of New Jersey's Giacinto Gorga was recently hospitalized.
These certainly are challenging times for Teresa Giudice and her family. Not only are they awaiting the judge's decision after filing an appeal for Joe Giudice's deportation ruling, but her father, Giacinto Gorga, is back in the hospital.
Teresa shared an update on her dad's condition during an interview with The Daily Dish on November 7. "My dad's in the hospital. He's stable. He had a hematoma in his stomach. It's like a bruise that takes a while to go away. He's on blood thinners. It's so complicated. It's very exhausting," Teresa said. "He had pneumonia. Thank God that's cleared up. But now with this situation, poor guy. It's like between him and me, we can't catch a break."
Giacinto moved in with Teresa and her four daughters, Gia, 17, Gabriella, 14, Milania, 12, and Audriana, 9, following the passing of his wife, Antonia Gorga, in March 2017. Since then, the family has had to make some adjustments in order to make sure Giacinto remains happy and healthy. "That's the thing, none of us can be sick around him because he catches it right away. We're constantly always washing our hands," Teresa explained. "Like when you have a baby and you make sure everything's clean, that's how you have to be with him because he gets sick easily."
Giacinto has been in and out of the hospital over the past few years, and Teresa said she always makes sure to be by his side, no matter what she has going on. She and her brother, Joe Gorga, shared their visit with their father at the hospital with fans on Instagram earlier this week.

Teresa also made sure to send love to her dad at the end of her interview with Good Morning America last week. "Ti voglio bene, I love you," she gushed before blowing a kiss to the camera.
Now Teresa is just hoping her dad returns home as soon as possible. "I just pray. I just want him to be home," she shared with The Daily Dish. "I think he's over being in the hospital."
