Teresa Giudice Reflects on the Loss of Her Mom: "Always in My Heart"
The RHONJ cast member shared a sweet message celebrating her mother Antonia Gorga's birthday.
Gone, but never forgotten.
Teresa Giudice took to Instagram this week to share a heartwarming message for her late mother, Antonia Gorga, who died in the spring of 2017 at age 66. The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member posted the tribute on Sunday, October 20, which would've marked Antonia's 74th birthday.

“Happy birthday to my Beautiful Mommy in Heaven I miss you tremendously,” the Jersey mom captioned the Story, which showed her and her mom posing before a white cake. “[And] you are always in my heart.”
Teresa’s oldest daughter, Gia Giudice, also honored her late grandma with a sweet birthday message and throwback photo. The snap showed a toddler Gia standing on a chair next to her nonna and Giacinto Gorga, her late grandpa who died three years after his wife, Antonia.
“Happy heavenly birthday my angel,” Gia captioned the post. “I miss you everyday nonna.”
Teresa mourns her mother's death: "I just feel lost"
Teresa opened up about her mother’s death in RHONJ Season 8, Episode 1, which aired about seven months after her family’s loss.
“My mother, she fought really hard. But the pneumonia was too hard for her,” Teresa said in the October 4, 2017, broadcast. “My mom, she was just the most caring, loving mom ever. And she only cared about my brother (Joe Gorga, husband of RHONJ's Melissa Gorga), me, and my dad. She was an amazing woman. She was pretty amazing. I still can’t believe that she’s not here. I keep expecting that she’s going to come over tomorrow. I keep getting depressed. I just feel lost.”
How Teresa and her daughters honored her late parents
In 2021, Teresa honored her mom’s memory with a ribcage tattoo that read “Sempre Insieme,” an Italian phrase that translates to “always together.”
Gia Giudice got a “Sempre Insieme” piece about a month later, while Teresa’s second-youngest daughter, Milania Giudice, received hers back in February. The latter Giduice girl showed off the ink in a TikTok video shared just a few weeks after her milestone birthday.
“You can only guess what I’m doing now that I turned 18,” Milania said in the February 26 post, which documented her trip to the tattoo parlor. “Obviously I’m getting ‘Sempre Insieme,’ the tattoo that my mom and all my sisters have. It’s the only tattoo I’m getting. Very tiny… ‘Sempre Insieme’ is what’s on my grandparents’ gravestone. It means ‘always together’ in Italian.”
