Teresa and Louie Reveal the Surprising Thing They Waited To Do *Until* They Lived Together

The Real Housewives of New Jersey couple Teresa Giudice and husband Luis "Louie" Ruelas have officially been married for two years and that means they've also had to adjust to living together. Every couple has an origin story. They spilled theirs (and all of the details from their courtship and whirlwind romance) during a special anniversary episode of Teresa's podcast, Turning the Tables. This includes details about their life behind closed doors and what they waited to do until they were living under the same roof.

After their chance meeting at the Jersey Shore in 2021, Teresa and Louie began dating. But, because Teresa's four daughters were living with her and Louie shared custody of his two sons, they had to wait a while to become intimate.

"You and I, we didn't sleep at each other's houses," Teresa said to Luis during the Aug. 6 podcast episode, adding that they had to go to "a lot of hotels in the city" while they were dating.

"We had a lot of hot car make-out sessions because we couldn't go to each other's houses," Louie noted.

It's not that they didn't want to be with each other, they just couldn't as Louie explained. "We both wanted to be intimate with each other, but we also had fun with it by not being intimate, knowing we could be intimate, and holding back," he continued. 

This helped them build "a solid foundation" in their relationship, as they spent more time learning about each other and their values, rather than canoodling. The couple also waited to sleep in the same bed and spend nights together before moving into their house while dating (they got engaged two weeks after moving in).

"That was something I really looked forward to because we dated, right? But I really look forward to being with you at night and it was not just a sexual part, [it was] just being close to you," Louie said.

Teresa Giudice and Luis Ruelas' Second Anniversary Instagram Posts

Teresa and Louie celebrated their second wedding anniversary this month during a luxurious trip to Ibiza among other glam destinations. The couple jetted off to Europe to celebrate their anniversary, starting in Greece, before making their way to Spain. Teresa and Louie were in Ibiza on their actual wedding anniversary date, where they took to Instagram to pen the sweetest tributes to one another. In the photo Teresa posted, she can be seen wearing a sparkly outfit posing with Louie by the Ibiza coast.

"Happy 2nd Anniversary to my LOVE, I love having you by my side thank you for bring[ing] everything and more," Teresa wrote in the caption of her post. "I LOVVVVVE YOU 4EVER."

Louie posted the same exact photo, echoing his wife's message. "Happy 2nd Anniversary Teresa Giudice," he wrote. "LOVE YOU."
