Teresa Giudice's Tweet From Prison Explained
The #RHONJ star's attorney breaks down how the post hit social media.
Earlier this week Teresa Giudice communicated with her fans via a tweet, marking the first time the Real Housewives of New Jersey star has reached out personally to her fans since entering prison five months ago.
And for those wondering how exactly she was able to head to social media during her time in a Danbury, Conn. facility, her attorney James Leonard, Jr. is explaining just how it all went down: her daughter, Gia, helped her mom out. "Teresa absolutely did not send the tweet herself. She doesn't have access to Twitter," he tells E! News.
"The message came from her," he adds. "She asked her daughter Gia to please post it. She wanted to thank her fans for the hundreds, if not thousands, of pieces of mail that she's received since she's been incarcerated. In particular, she received an outpouring of kind words and support on her birthday. She's truly grateful."
The tweet was sent out on May 31, and Leonard Jr. noted that there could be more tweets like this in the future. "While she's finishing her sentence, she may continue to communicate with her fans this way," he says.
Teresa is currently serving a 15-month sentence. And it was clear from her aforementioned tweet that she's appreciated all the support her fans have been sending her since she entered the Danbury, Conn. facility. "Thank you everyone for all of the cards, letters, and kind words of support," she writes. "I love, love, love you all xo T!"
The RHONJ star will be released in early December and immediately will begin home confinement until she finishes out her sentence in February 2016.
