The Bachelor's Controversial Finale Inspired Fans to Put Up Billboards and an Entire State to Ban Arie Luyendyk Jr.

You can count Justin Theroux among those dedicated Bachelor fans.

Parker Young's Roommate Was on The Bachelor

What a season it was on The Bachelor! In an unprecedented move, Arie Luyendyk Jr. proposed to Becca Kurfin, broke up with her on national television ... and then proceeded to propose to Lauren Burnham on the After the Rose special. It was indeed a messy situation, and one that left fans rallying to support Kurfin.

Kurfin's home state, for one, will have none of Luyendyk Jr. When taking in the shocking finale on March 5, Minnesota representative Drew Christensen tweeted: "If I get a thousand retweets I'll author a bill banning Arie from Minnesota." Well, he got 12,000 retweets — and stuck to his word!

Christensen later posted a photo of the bill he actually did draw up. (Bachelor rage is real, people!) "The state of Minnesota hereby adopts a policy of zero tolerance of Arie Luyendyk, Jr. from season 22 of The Bachelor," the statement reads. "It is state policy that every person in the state has a right to live free from the presence of Arie Luyendyk, Jr. in the state."

Yikes! But, Minnesota isn't the only state that has something to say. In both Los Angeles and The Land of 10,000 Lakes, actual billboards are denouncing the controversial Bachelor star. Some 12 billboards in Kurfin's home state say: "Arie ... Not Okay, Just Leave." And, the same signage appears twice along the 710 freeway in East Los Angeles, and twice more near Orange County.

Bachelor mania is not restricted to the states — or to normies — either. Justin Theroux outed himself as a celebrity fan of the show, and even staged a Bachelor-inspired moment of his own, during his trip to Paris.

The actor, who recently separated from wife Jennifer Aniston, has been hitting up fashion shows in the City of Lights, but took some time to stop by the Hemingway Bar at the Ritz Paris. While sipping cocktails with his pal Carlos Quirarte, Theroux participated in a makeshift rose ceremony inspired by the show. Quirarte posted a snap of the oh-so-romantic moment, and noted in his hash tags: #realmenwatchthebachelor.
