"Under the Influence": The Married to Medicine Ladies Discover Why Their Husbands Love to Golf
The ladies of Married to Medicine teed off on the golf course and discovered why their husbands love to hit the links.
The Hilton Head couples trip continues with lots of drinks, laughter, and of course drama amongst the Married to Medicine ladies. It’s no secret that the Married to Medicine husbands love to spend their time on the golf course and away from the women for a break. In Sunday’s episode, the ladies found out just what the draw is and why their husbands love to golf during their trip to Hilton Head, South Carolina.

Which Married to Medicine ladies already knew how to golf?
Phaedra Parks was way ahead of the curve, explaining to the ladies that she loves to golf.
“I do have a little handicap on me, but it’s not the way I twitch my hips,” Phaedra joked in her confessional.
Meanwhile, Dr. Heavenly Kimes admitted golf isn’t her thing. “From zero to ten, me as a golfer, I’m probably a two. I don’t golf. I’m a great lover though,” she said. Brian, the golf instructor had his hands full teaching the ladies how to even swing the golf club.
What did the ladies discover about golfing?
If you aren’t a golfer and, on the fairway, green swinging your golf club, it’s probably hard to understand why some love the sport so much.
Cute outfits aside, the ladies figured out early on in their golf lesson why their husbands love to hang around the course. As the bartender pours the women drinks, Dr. Simone Whitmore has a realization of why Cecil loves to play golf.
“If you’re playing bad, then you can drown your sorrows,” Cecil explains.
Who won the Married to Medicine golf game?
Despite their (mostly) best attempts to learn, the ladies didn’t play a traditional round of golf. Instead, they opted for “Who Can Hit the Ball the Furthest.”
Toya kept swinging and hitting the dirt on her turn, while Dr. Heavenly looked on, boasting about her own skills while pondering how much it would cost to fix “the lawn.”
“I gotta do everything better than Toya. If I was on the tennis court, I could do it better than Toya. I’m just better than Toya, at all things,” Dr. Heavenly bragged. While Dr. Heavenly did hit the golf ball on her second try and got it pretty far, the ball left the greenway.
And Simone? She hit her golf ball into the water.
Lateasha "Sweet Tea" Lunceford swung her golf club with an effortless stroke as the golf ball rolled smoothly across the green. “You have been hanging with the old men for real,” Toya Bush-Harris joked, laughing. Needless to say, the other ladies were impressed.
Meanwhile Dr. Jackie Walters, whose husband Curtis bought her a bag of golf clubs in a previous episode, wasn’t so lucky. She hit the water hazard, and the ball sunk down in the pond. “I am so busy out saving the world, that I don’t really have time to put a ball in a hole,” Dr. Jackie said in her confessional. Alicia and Phaedra also came close with their golf balls.
But, the winner of the contest, declared by Brian the instructor, was Sweet Tea! She hit her golf ball 110 yards. Alicia and Dr. Heavenly came in second and third place.
Of course, Sweet Tea had to celebrate with her own victory dance!
