NeNe confirmed the news in a post that featured Gregg sitting at the MD Anderson Cancer Center, which has locations in the greater Houston area, according to the facility's website. There's also a computer screen in the background of the photo that features the word "cancer" with a red line through it. NeNe captioned the photo, "Our New Normal and the fight begins."
As you can see, NeNe and Gregg are staying strong during this challenging time for the RHOA couple. You can see it in the hashtags NeNe included in her post, too: "#f---cancer," "yougotthis," and "#iloveyou."

Melissa Gorga also sent her love from New Jersey. "Praying for you always," she commented on the Instagram post. "I [heart Gregg]."
The news of Gregg's cancer diagnosis comes after the RHOA husband spent 16 days in the hospital in May. The reason for Gregg's hospitalization has not been revealed, but NeNe canceled a couple of shows in New York in order to remain by his side. "I find it very difficult to stand onstage and laugh and have a good time and give you guys your money's worth knowing that my husband is in the hospital not feeling well," NeNe shared in a video on Instagram in which she announced the cancellations. "He has said to me over and over again, 'Go on. Go out there. Have a good time. Do the show. I'm gonna be fine.' But I find it mentally very hard for me to do."
Gregg finally returned home from the hospital on May 23. "After 16 days my hubby, my rock, my best friend @greggleakes returns to the Leakes household!" NeNe shared on Instagram at the time. "This has been really hard on us, our children, family and [closest] friends. He has a long road ahead but God is good and life is precious!"
Over the past few weeks, Gregg has received all sorts of get-well-soon gifts from loved ones, including "the most beautiful" bible from Marlo Hampton and all of the summer reading he could ever need from Andy Cohen.
