Is There *Really* Trouble in Karen Huger and Ray Huger's Marriage? Monique Samuels Has a Definitive Answer
Here's the one thing that doesn't sit right with Monique about The Real Housewives of Potomac relationship.
Out of all of The Real Housewives of Potomac relationships, Karen Huger and Ray Huger's marriage seems to have garnered the most attention from the ladies this season. Everything from Ray's tax situation to the couple's move to Great Falls, Virginia, to Karen not wearing her wedding ring during the the girls' trip to Cannes, France has made the RHOP squad wonder if there's trouble in paradise for these two.
But if you ask Monique Samuels, she thinks Karen and Ray's marriage is as strong as ever. "Karen and Ray are rock solid. When you see them two together, it's like they can't keep their hands off each other, and I don't care to hear the details that Karen likes to give," she said when asked if she thinks divorce is in the couple's future when she appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen Sunday night. "But no, they're not heading for divorce. They're nowhere near that."
Karen revealed to the RHOP ladies earlier this season that Ray had once asked her for a divorce "a long time ago." "Many moons ago, I was determined to hold onto my independence but still be Mrs. Huger, come and go as I please, do as I want," Karen explained during the episode. "He felt lonely. So I had to really strike a balance to get us through that patch."
Karen has denied all of the RHOP crew's chatter about her marriage on the show and in her blogs on Bravotv.com, accusing the ladies of telling lies. The RHOP grand dame continues to live by the credo "grace under fire at all times," which is prominently displayed in her Twitter bio. "I love living my life in grace and quite often, you're gonna come under fire. How you respond under fire is up to you. I just decided to have some dignity about it, support my husband, soldier up and just stand by my man," Karen told The Daily Dish while speaking about how she and her family dealt with her husband's tax situation earlier this season. "You've just got to have a lot of faith and faith in your man. If you've been with him for 20 years, and he tells you to mind your business, stay in your lane, continue to live your life, be the best you you can be, because that's gonna help him focus on fixing the issue. Trust your husband. Trust your husband far and beyond your girlfriends. Trust your husband. And I'm glad I did that."
We'll see some of Karen's girlfriends do some investigating of her new life in Great Falls in an all-new episode of RHOP Sunday at 8/7c. Check out a sneak peek, below.
