Karen Huger's mother has passed away, her rep recently confirmed to Page Six. She was 71. 

Karen's mother, Georgia Raines Wooden, passed away on November 23 in Virginia, according to her obituary. She is survived by her husband and three children.

Fans of The Real Housewives of Potomac saw Karen celebrate her mother's 70th birthday last season. Karen also memorably got emotional as a heartfelt message from her mother played at her 20th anniversary party in the season finale. "If it weren't for my mama waking me up every morning asking me what did I want to be today and telling me that I could be anything, I wouldn't be living this life," Karen said with tears in her eyes on RHOP last season.

Karen showed her love for her mom at her 70th birthday celebration in Season 2 of RHOP. 

Karen shared at last season's RHOP reunion that she had decided to move from Potomac to Great Falls, Virginia in an effort to accommodate her ailing parents, who she hoped would move in with her.

The RHOP grand dame has opened up about her mother's battle with Alzheimer's disease in the series (her father also struggles with the disease). Karen has been working with her local chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, hosting a benefit dinner in September. “I need to help, I need to find a cure for this,” she told Page Six at the event. “What a wonderful position to be in to raise funds to help others and not just my family but all families.”
