The Real Housewives of Potomac's Candiace Dillard Married Chris Bassett in a Divine D.C. Wedding (UPDATED)
The RHOP newcomer went grand for her big day.
UPDATE (AUGUST 20, 10:23 A.M.): Wedding planning is always stressful, but throw in a mom who has a lot of opinions, and, well, it just gets that much crazier. That was definitely the case for Candiace Dillard, who often clashed with her mother Dorothy over everything from her dress to her venue as she got ready for her wedding to Chris Bassett this season of The Real Housewives of Potomac.
So when the big day finally arrived on August 11, what was Dorothy like when it was her time to shine as mother of the bride? We checked in with Candiace on this and so much more at her rehearsal dinner and right before she walked down the aisle. See the emotional moments in the video, above.
UPDATE (AUGUST 13, 9:41 A.M.): Candiace Dillard's now-husband Chris Bassett shared the first glimpse of the newly-married couple on Instagram Sunday. The Real Housewives of Potomac couple tied the knot at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, August 11.
Chris shared a photo of himself and Candiace holding hands, showing off their lovely wedding rings in the process. (We're also blessed with another look at Candiace's stunning engagement ring.) Chris noted that he and Candiace are "officially official" in the caption to the photo.
If this is what the rings look like, we can't wait to see photos of Candiace and Chris' wedding ceremony.

Candiace Dillard's "susband" (that’s "soon-to-be husband") Chris Bassett is officially her hubby. The Real Housewives of Potomac beauty queen tied the knot with her fiancé on Saturday, August 11, PEOPLE confirmed.
The RHOP couple said "I do" in a huge ceremony at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C. Candiace was bridal perfection in her Karen Sabag wedding dress as she officially became a Mrs. in front of more than 200 of their closest friends and family. You can watch Candiace's emotional time trying on wedding dresses from this season of RHOP, above.
RHOP fans followed Candiace and Chris' road to the altar this season, which wasn't always a smooth one. From staying on budget to dealing with family issues, Candiace and Chris faced several obstacles while planning for the big day. "I always knew that, for me, planning a wedding would be challenging because of my blended family and [being] raised by a dad and a stepdad and a mom who were instrumental in creating this magical person you see before you now. I had to pay homage to all of them, and it's just been difficult to figure out how best to do that and not make anyone feel like they're not important," Candiace previously told The Daily Dish in June. "I just assumed that I would've figured it out by now, but I'm still figuring it out. It's been a stressful journey. Potomac is peas and carrots compared to this. I could do it in my sleep."
Now that Candiace and Chris are married, she has officially become a stepmom to his three children from two previous relationships. That's a role that Candiace is definitely ready to take on. "Once I knew that I was in love with Chris, I just loved his kids; it was just sort of automatic. They're an extension of him, and because they're an extension of him, they're an extension of me," she told The Daily Dish in May. "And when, if and when, [I have] a child, I want for my biological children and my 'bonus children' to have a special bond and a relationship, so I feel like it just kind of worked out. It worked out for the best."
