Did Larsa Pippen Try Too Hard to Unite the Housewives in The Traitors?

And which of her fellow Housewives referred to Larsa as a "pit bull"?

Marcus Jordan and Larsa Pippen made The Traitors history when they were cast as the first couple to compete in the Peacock series hosted by Alan Cumming. And while Marcus was ousted early on, we were really rooting for The Real Housewives of Miami star Larsa to go all the way (with her fellow Housewives, of course) and avenge her man.

Sadly, it wasn't meant to be. Larsa was voted out of the game — "banished" in The Traitors terms — by her fellow contestants in Episode 4 after gaming a little too hard in the eyes of her fellow Faithfuls.

Why was Larsa voted off The Traitors?

As she explained in the official series after show, The Traitors: Postmortem, "My personality starts out really nice, and then I can't help that I get really passionate. I think I get loud and I talk fast. I was trying to be calm but I feel like I had so much anxiety."

Ultimately, it seemed like Larsa's willingness to give her opinion about who the Traitors were and trying to rally her fellow Housewives to join her crusade was her undoing.

"I think Larsa could have lasted a lot longer in this game if she'd kept some of her opinions to herself," Dan Gheesling (one of three Traitors) said in Postmortem. "If she had an opinion, you knew about it right away, whether it made sense or not."

"I feel like being on The Real Housewives of Miami, you learn to figure out who's full of sh-t," Larsa continued. "You learn to figure out who doesn't really like you. And I feel like being around a lot of strong, independent women, you kind of have to be outspoken and be able to tell your story. So I thought that would be carried on to The Traitors. But I feel like this game is a quiet game. I don't think I should have been trying to do the same strategy as I normally do on Housewives."

Are the Housewives working together on The Traitors?

It was Larsa's outspoken nature that also led to Traitor Parvati Shallow (Survivor) to turn (just a bit) on her fellow Traitor Phaedra Parks (Married to MedicineThe Real Housewives of Atlanta). Parvati pointed out that the Housewives are known for their dramatics, and would probably be more than willing to "act" in the right situation, causing Phaedra to warn Parvati away about coming for her or any of the Housewives.

"I think Larsa got banished because she's a real pit bull," Phaedra said in Postmortem. "She's obviously on my network and I've never met her except for being here. But I enjoyed her company. We had some great conversations. And I would have appreciated having her in the house a little longer."

"I feel like had I had more time, I really feel like the Housewives, we could have united and come up with a solid Traitor. I just feel like my decision was kind of impulsive and I think I shook things up for a lot of people and I don't think they're ready for that," Larsa explained. "They're just a herd of sheep."

The first episode of The Traitors Season 2 airs on Bravo on Wednesday, January 24 at 10:30PM after a new Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

New episodes of The Traitors Season 2 premiere every Thursday. Episodes are available to stream on Peacock alongside The Traitors: Postmortem after show.
