Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz Have Yet Another Interesting Connection to Scientology
The #PumpRules pals recall one interesting stipulation they encountered from the organization.
Earlier this year, Jax Taylor revealed that he had previously modeled for some promotional materials for the Church of Scientology. The Vanderpump Rules bartender dished a bit about the experience, sharing that "it just seems like a very weird place." Now we're learning more about what it's like when you book a modeling gig with the Church. It turns out that both Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval have also modeled for the organization.
"I did one of those jobs with him," Schwartz recalled. "When we first moved here it's a real hustle, it's tough town. You take what you can get. We would do background and it would pay like $150 or $200 bucks a day and they would take us out on these little sail ships or sail boats and it was bizarre."
So, how did they end up with the gig? "It was on L.A. casting, like you could self-submit it," Schwartz said. "They were very professional. There was nothing creepy about it at all. It was just like any other job."
Sandoval even almost starred in a movie produced by the Church. "I auditioned for one of their films," he shared. "We're like, 'OK so we'll get a copy of this, right?' They're like, 'Not unless you join.'"
