Tom Schwartz Has a Prediction About the Future of Katie and Ariana's Sandwich Shop

Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval navigated significant challenges (to put it lightly) before opening their bar and restaurant, Schwartz & Sandy's. Now, as Katie Maloney and Ariana Madix are working to open the doors of their sandwich shop, Schwartz is weighing in with a prediction about their future success. 

On the February 20 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the host asked Schwartz on behalf of a viewer if he thinks Something About Her will actually open as Katie and Ariana have experienced some setbacks due to permit issues.  

"Yes, I do, and I think that it's going to be a smash hit," Schwartz said. "I'm not just trying to kiss butt. I really do. It's in a prime location in West Hollywood, and I think it's poised for success."

Although Katie and Ariana haven't yet announced an official opening date, Katie did recently share an exciting update. "Finally, we do have all the permits that we needed in order to get the final one," the Vanderpump Rules cast member shared on The Nikki & Brie Show. "We just needed all those physical copies before they would come out and do the final walkthrough that we need."

“I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and it’s just having to be patient," she continued. "We just had to be patient. And just kind of like roll with the punches and just like, take things as they come and just kind of get it done. You want to make sure that you’re doing everything that’s required of you. You don’t wanna get fined. You don’t want to go through all this just to close. It would be awful.”

“It is not easy, but we’re so excited. It’s gonna be so great," she added.

Over at Schwartz & Sandy's meanwhile, things are looking up. After a challenging year in the aftermath of the Vanderpump Rules Season 10 drama involving Sandoval, Schwartz told The Daily Dish on February 20 that he's excited for the future of the bar. "I think we're in the midst of a bit of rebirth or a resurgence," he said. "We have a newfound sense of camaraderie there. Me and my partners, Tom, Greg, we have momentum again. We're communicating clearly. I just feel like the vibe's different in there."

He added, "We're courageously forging ahead."
