Top Chef's Dale Talde Is Going to Be a Dad Again and "Can’t Wait to Meet Our New Addition" (UPDATED)

UPDATE (NOV. 18, 9:32 A.M.):  On Wednesday (November 17), Dale Talde confirmed the exciting news of the baby's birth after revealing earlier this year his family was growing. "We are super happy to now be a family of 4, Rye Young Min Talde born November 9 2021," he wrote.  "[Agnes] is doing great and [our son Everest] is psyched to have a new buddy to play with."

The happy news was met with love from Melissa King, Gail Simmons, as well as other pals from the culinary world in the comments section, where Dale shared the first photos of Rye (via PEOPLE). 

"Agnes, big brother Everest, and I have full hearts as we welcome Rye Young Min Talde to our family. Our pup George is also thrilled to have another little human to play with," the chef and dad told PEOPLE. "Beyond the obvious culinary connection, the name Rye means 'king' in Gaelic. His Korean middle name Young Min means prosperity and intelligence... His brother Everest's Korean name is Young Jun, which means eternal and handsome. Jun also means 'junior' in Filipino."

Dale also shared another cute fact about the newborn. "He also has a birthday twin — my older brother had a daughter (who came a month early) on the same exact day in Chicago," he noted.

The proud dad also shared a sweet photo of the newborn with his older sibling and the family dog all napping together on Instagram this week. "New squad," he captioned it.

There's a bun in the oven over at the Talde home (sorry, we couldn't resist). Bravo's Top Chef's Dale Talde has confirmed that his wife Agnes Chung is pregnant with their second child. The former cheftestant-turned-guest judge shared the happy news on Instagram along with the most adorable photo of son Everest and the family dog announcing the news. "[Everest] is going to have a little brother. [Agnes and I] can’t wait to meet our new addition," Dale wrote.

The news comes just weeks after he shared a tribute to Agnes in honor of Mother's Day. "You hold our family down with your selflessness and never ending love," Dale wrote. "[Everest] and Jeeps the dog love you forever."

Agnes also shared cute moments of Everest from the day the family announced the baby news. She wrote, "Guess what? We’re adding another baby boy to the Talde family!!! We are so excited."

In case you were wondering how Everest feel about his new role as a big bro, he shared all on Instagram, along with another photo from the announcement photo shoot with Jeeps. "Say what?! I’m getting a baby brother?? Yay!" he wrote. Jeeps has not commented on the news as of press time.

Dale is currently serving as one of the alums on the rotating panel of guest judges in the current Season 18 of Top Chef.  Prior to that, he appeared as a cheftestant twice in the culinary competition in Seasons 4 and 8, coming in sixth place both times, as well as on Top Chef Duels.

Dale has also written a cookbook called Asian-American and has opened and consulted on several different culinary projects, in addition to writing screenplays, developing show treatments, building creative content for social media, and more, according to his bio on BravoTV.com. Next, he will be working on opening Talde Noodle and Dumpling in LaGuardia Airport's newly renovated Terminal B Headhouse.
