Have you ever wanted some face time with your favorite Top Chef notables? This year's Lake Austin Culinary Experience in Austin, Texas will offer foodies the chance to meet their favorite Cheftestants and Top Chef judges.
It kicks off in February with Anegelo Sosa on hand to host daily cooking demonstrations. The events run throughout the year, ending in October.
Hugh Acheson will stop by on July 17 and 18 and in August 15th, Gail Simmons will arrive in Austin.
Guests will not only get to learn how to cook from some of the best chefs in the country, but can also partake in a number of other activities, including, Adventures in Cocktail Gardening, The World of Wine, All About Olive Oil, Guided Organic Garden Tour, Hands on Lunch and Learn, Health Benefits of Tea and Tasting, Knife Skills, Composting 101 and Herbal Swags. Spa treatments will also be available.
Considering Gail will be hitting the event during the blistering summer months, food lovers might be treated to one of her favorite hot weather dishes.
"I will roast or grill any vegetable," the Top Chef judge recently said. "I love to grill summer squash with some salt, pepper flakes and maybe chili powder for a really easy dish. I also love grilling stone fruit as it comes into season: Apricots, plums, peaches. I'm a really big fan of making fresh summer salads and simple grilled food and doing the least possible to it."
