'Top Chef' Vets Take Over the Aspen Food & Wine Classic
Find out which judges will go head-to-head in a live Quickfire challenge at this year's festival.
The Food and Wine Classic in Aspen is happening this weekend and the prestigious annual event is practically a full-fledged Top Chef reunion. Alums from multiple seasons of Top Chef, Top Chef Masters, and Top Chef: Duels will be on-hand to serve up some of their most mouth-watering fare.
A whopping six show winners will be at the festival to lead seminars and cooking demos. Stephanie Izard will offer up a preview of her third restaurant, Duck Duck Goat. Season 10 winner Kristen Kish will demonstrate how to make some of her favorite childhood dishes. And Mei Lin will also be firing up a few of her favorite recipes that show off what made her the most recent winner of the show.
Top Chef All-Stars winner Richard Blais will be leading a sandwich-making workshop — which, if we know Richard's style, will be anything but ordinary. Meanwhile Top Chef All-Stars very first winner Rick Bayless will sit on a panel all about transitioning into fine casual dining while its second winner Marcus Samuelsson will discuss the soulful meals in his new cookbook.
Top Chef fan favorite, and current host of The Chew, Carla Hall will showcase some of her favorite southern dishes. And the show's judges Hugh Acheson and Gail Simmons will actually go head-to-head in a live Top Chef Quickfire.
The weekend will also include events with frequent guest judges Michelle Berstein, Dana Cowin, Eric Ripert, and Jacques Pépin.Take a look at Mei Lin's mouth-watering dishes.
