Katie Says Tom Schwartz and Raquel’s Kiss Was "Such a Slap in the Face"
While addressing the kiss between her ex and Raquel, the Vanderpump Rules cast member teased some of the drama to come on Season 10.
Katie Maloney is getting real about that shocking moment from the Vanderpump Rules Season 10 trailer, a.k.a. the kiss between Tom Schwartz and Raquel Leviss.
Speaking to ET ahead of the show's February 8 premiere, she said the kiss — which went against her and Tom's one previously-agreed upon rule that they wouldn't get involved with anyone in their shared friend group post-breakup — made her realize that her ex-husband, "under no circumstances, will [ever] respect me and will just continue to humiliate me."
The pact the former couple had made "was part of us moving forward in this friendship and kind of trying to maintain a friendship and boundaries and comfortability," Katie added, explaining that they had wanted to avoid the "toxic" situation some of their Vanderpump Rules castmates had been in before where the group "becomes very incestuous."
So, when Tom couldn't hold up his end of the deal, "it felt like just such a slap in the face," Katie said. "I wasn't trying to control the man. He's free to do what he wanted, but it was the fact that we really had had multiple conversations and were pretty much on the same page about it all, and I couldn't wrap my head around it."
When it comes to Raquel, "my opinion of her couldn't be lower," Katie shared, going on to suggest that the situation felt "a little bit" calculated on her part "because of the lead up to it all."
