Lala Kent Reveals Where She Stands with Katie Maloney: “The Vibes Are Definitely Off”

The status of Lala Kent and Katie Maloney’s friendship is complicated, to say the least. 

Katie was first asked if she and her Vanderpump Rules castmate are “on good terms still” during the January 13 episode of her podcast — with the fan who submitted the question adding, “vibes are off.” Katie responded, “Vibes are definitely off.”

She didn’t divulge any additional details, but now Lala is weighing in after she was apparently flooded with DMs inquiring about the situation. As she put it on the January 20 episode of her own podcast, “I was like, ‘Why are people asking this?’ Well, now I know that someone asked Katie this on her podcast and she said the ‘vibes are definitely off.’”

“So I guess the vibes are definitely off,” Lala added, prompting her co-host to ask, “Is that news to you?” 

“After the DMs I got from her the other day, not so much,” Lala replied. “I would say a little bit off.”

It’s not exactly clear what Katie’s messages were about, but Lala alluded to Katie being upset because Lala had forgotten Katie’s recent birthday. 

“Just like I’ve said before, I got a lot going on. That is the least of my concern, and I hope she had a very happy birthday,” Lala explained. “It slipped my mind that it was her birthday because it was MLK Day. I completely spaced it with MLK Day happening and I had Ocean and she was feeling sick.”

Moving forward, does Lala see a positive vibe shift happening? “We’ll see,” she concluded.
