The Daily Dish Producer Secrets

Everything to Know About the Vanderpump Rules Producers Who “Still Get Shocked” by the Drama

Meet the Vanderpump Rules insiders and crew members who get real about what it actually takes to make the magic happen.

By Jocelyn Vena

We’re raising our glasses high for the people who work behind the scenes on Vanderpump Rules. In fact, BravoTV.com recently got some behind-the-scenes intel from several of the show’s crew and producers who help to make Vanderpump Rules happen season after season, giving fans all the juicy drama they want.

How to Watch

Watch Vanderpump Rules on Peacock and the Bravo app.

Several of the insiders sat down with several cast members to dish about their experiences making the show and working with the SURvers. So if you want to know all the Vanderpump Rules show secrets, we suggest you press play on the videos above and below.

Meet Chris Carter, Camera Operator

One of the show’s camera operators, Chris Carter, joined in 2015, and in a conversation with Lala Kent, he shared his thoughts about working on the show and his first impressions of the Vanderpump Rules cast. “I mean, I’ve seen a lot of stuff, but I still get shocked,” he told Lala, noting that he’s had a front-row seat to a number of wild moments, including Scheana Shay’s wedding to Mike Shay, and some highly memorable incidents, including one that left him “floored.” To hear Chris speak candidly about working on Vanderpump Rules, check out the video at the top of the post.

Meet James Markham, Co-Executive Producer

Ariana Madix Puts a Vanderpump Rules Producer in the "Hot Seat"

James Markham, a co-executive producer on the series, sat down with Ariana Madix and spilled all the tea while he was in the “hot seat.” Season 10 is James’ first season on the series (though he’s worked on other Bravo shows, including The Real Housewives of New York City and The Real Housewives of Orange County), and in the clip above, he recalls the first time he met Ariana. During their chat, he opens up about the “glamorous” and the, well, less glam aspects of his job, and also discusses the “unique” relationship the cast and the producers find themselves in. Press play to hear all the details.

Meet Jeremiah Smith, Executive Producer and Showrunner

A Vanderpump Rules Producer Breaks Down His Job to Scheana and We're Intrigued

Jeremiah Smith is currently the show’s executive producer and showrunner, but he has been on the show since Season 1, and back in the day he was a field producer. Jeremiah has seen it all, including all of the cast’s ups and downs, and has watched the cast change over time, so when he says the current Season 10 is pretty great, he probably knows what he’s talking about. “I honestly think this season is one of our best seasons so far,” he says in the above interview with Scheana.

(Further proof the Vanderpump Rules crew works hard: The show resumed filming following the news of Ariana’s split from Tom Sandoval.)

Watch Vanderpump Rules on Bravo Wednesdays at 9/8c and the next day on Peacock. And catch up on all past seasons of Vanderpump Rules on Peacock.
