Scheana Shay Dropped a Huge Bombshell About Her Marriage to Brock Davies (UPDATED)

The Vanderpump Rules couple stunned their guests with *this* piece of information during the April 12 episode.

By Allison Crist

UPDATED (June 1, 10:24 A.M.): Scheana addressed the big secret she and Brock had been keeping before their wedding during Part 2 of the Vanderpump Rules Season 10 reunion. Host Andy Cohen asked why they didn't tell anyone, and she replied, "We wanted to celebrate our love privately. We share a child together, we live together, so with the green card and all that, I was like, 'Let's get it going. I want to marry you.'"

"It was nice to have that little secret for us," Scheana added, "because we didn't get married for anyone other than us."

The original story continues below.

Scheana Shay and Brock Daviesfairy-tale wedding played out on the April 12 episode of Vanderpump Rules, but it turns out the couple was already married when they said “I do” during the August ceremony.

We’re not talking about a matter of days or even months, though. Instead, Scheana revealed that she and Brock had been husband and wife for nearly an entire year by the time she walked down the aisle in Mexico.

The revelation came during a conversation with a few of her bridesmaids, including Ariana Madix and Raquel Leviss. “I’ve been wearing my wedding band for a while now… because we’ve been married for a while now,” Scheana told the group, much to their surprise.

The shock only grew from there, as Scheana added, “You guys, it’s our year anniversary this week.”

As for her and Brock’s decision to secretly wed in 2021, she went on to explain that it had to do with the Australian’s residency status. “When his investor’s visa needed to get changed, I also wanted him to be able to get his green card,” Scheana said. “We have a baby together and we know we’re going to be together forever, so we just literally said a couple words [and] signed the paper.”

Naturally, keeping the secret was no easy feat. “I am such an open book,” Scheana said in a confessional. “It was so hard not to tell everyone, especially because I’m so happy.”

Despite being caught off guard, her bridesmaids were, of course, also happy for her. As Ariana put it, “You know what, Scheana, so many people want to get married because they want the wedding. But you’ve been living the actual marriage, and the wedding is just kinda like a fun little icing on top of the cake.”

Scheana shared a similar sentiment in a confessional, noting that ultimately, “We got married for us.”

“We did this because we want a life together. We have a baby together,” she concluded. “And it didn’t matter that it was done in front of 100 people or four people.”
