Andy Cohen Breaks Down Hosting the Vanderpump Rules Reunion with *Two* Seating Charts

The Vanderpump Rules Season 10 reunion host reveals all on having two different seating arrangements.

By Jocelyn Vena

With the three-part Vanderpump Rules Season 10 reunion on the horizon, it was confirmed in a press release that the upcoming sit-down will be different from those in years past as “Raquel [Leviss] and Scheana [Shay] join the group separately to share their sides of the story” amid some drama. And now we’re getting some insider info from Andy Cohen himself on what it was like to host the event and navigate around having two different seating charts.

How to Watch

Watch Vanderpump Rules on Bravo Tuesdays at 8/7c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo app.

When the seating charts were released back in March, fans learned that the group would be split up for the Season 10 reunion.

Both seating arrangements found reunion host Andy right in the middle of the drama, naturally, with Ariana Madix, Katie Maloney, James Kennedy, and Lala Kent on his left. On Andy’s right sit Lisa Vanderpump and Tom Sandoval. From there, the two seating charts change — one has Sandoval next to Raquel, then Tom Schwartz, while the other finds Schwartz next to Sandoval and Scheana on the end.

Andy Explains Having Two Seating Charts at the Vanderpump Rules Season 10 Reunion

Ahead of Part 1 of the Vanderpump Rules Season 10 reunion airing, The Daily Dish spoke with Andy, who has hosted countless reunions over the years, about that unusual arrangement. “[It] didn’t really have an effect on me. We just brought Scheana in and brought her out. I mean, it wasn’t that dramatic, to be honest,” he said. He did note, however, that when the seating arrangement included Raquel instead of Scheana, the vibe in the room did change. “Well, yeah. When Tom and Raquel were out there [it was different energy]. When Raquel was out there, people were really on her.”

Andy Describes the Mood of the Vanderpump Rules Season 10 Reunion

It’s pretty unprecedented in reunion history for the sit-down to have two different setups, and when speaking with The Daily Dish, Andy noted how emotional this reunion was for the group. “It was the first time most of them had seen each other,” he said, pointing to the fact that only weeks before the reunion filmed, Tom and Ariana had broken up amid rumors of his affair with Raquel. “It’s the first time the viewers will see Ariana confront Raquel. And you know, I was glad I got to sit down with the three of them one-on-one.”

In the weeks leading up to the reunion airing, there has been a lot of buzz and discourse about it, from what the cast wore to the seating charts to the overall drama given the breakup that took place around that time. And yes, Andy is aware of the hype. “I think it’s one of the most highly anticipated reunions that I can think of. I mean, [it] started months ago, obviously. And I think the reason everybody is so invested is that they want to see some sort of a reckoning [with] Tom and Raquel, and they’re going to get it,” he noted. “They want to see them confronted by Ariana. They want to see them confronted by their friends. And it was incredibly confrontational. What can I say?”
