Reunited, and it feels so good! Vicki Gunvalson's daughter Briana Culberson is back in Orange County, and we don't think it's possible for her mom to be any more excited. "When Briana and [her husband] Ryan decided to move back to Orange County, it was like answered prayers. I had been praying for that to happen," Vicki told The Daily Dish. "It was their decision. Of course, I pushed them a little bit into that decision, what it would look like, I'd be part of their boys' lives all the time, I could help her out."
Briana moved from the OC to Oklahoma after Ryan, who is in the Marine Corps, got stationed there following a tour of Afghanistan. Though Vicki was never shy about her distaste for the state, as you can see in the below clip from The Real Housewives of Orange County, she said Briana was never a fan of living there, either. "The truth of the matter is, she's a California girl, and she hated Oklahoma," Vicki said. "They had to make a choice of where they wanted to move because he's actually getting retired from the Marine Corps. So they didn't want to stay in Oklahoma anymore. So coming back to Orange County was the natural thing for her to do."
Ryan is still living back in Oklahoma while finishing his Marine Corps duties, but Briana and her sons Troy and Owen are living with Vicki while the house that the OG of the RHOC bought for them is being renovated. "I closed on the house about four months ago, and I got somebody in there to kind of start gutting the things that Briana didn't want. I might have gone a little bit overboard," Vicki admitted. "So basically, we brought it down to the dry wall. All the rooms, all the kitchen, everything is gutted. So right now, there's new floor being put in, new kitchen, new closets, new bathrooms, like everything is being replaced."
Briana and Ryan plan on purchasing the newly renovated abode from Vicki once they sell their home in Oklahoma. "Briana plans on staying there, raising her kids, through high school, and we wanted to make it really nice, so I helped them out," Vicki said.
For Vicki, it sounds like living with Briana and her children under one roof isn't like having her daughter back in the house but more like a best friend. "Her and I do wine night. We put the babies in bed. I do one baby. She does the other. We do bath time and story time," Vicki gushed. "It's like her and I and the world. It's just quite incredible."
Vicki said she doesn't think her relationship with Briana would be in such a good place if she was still with her boyfriend Brooks Ayers since her daughter was adamantly opposed to their courtship. "This would not have happened if I was still in my past relationship, so a lot of good has come from moving on, and I got my daughter back," Vicki said. "That's the greatest thing ever."
So will Briana and Ryan fill their new home with more kids in the future? Vicki certainly hopes so. "I'm hoping for more grandkids. Briana says right now her plumbing is turned off because she's overwhelmed," Vicki explained. "She works, she's an ER trauma nurse, and she's trying to balance getting back to work in Orange County and then me helping with the babies."
But there's always the possibility that Vicki's other child, Michael Wolfsmith, will start a family in the future — at least that's what Vicki wants. "Michael's still single. He's dating a girl. I'm like, 'OK, when's the wedding? When are we going to have a baby?' He's like, 'Slow down, Mom. I'm good being single,'" Vicki said. "So I definitely want more grandchildren."
