Vicki Gunvalson's Grandson Troy Culberson Has Picked Up a "Southern Twang" Since Moving to North Carolina
The Real Housewives of Orange County kid is a California boy no more!
Vicki Gunvalson's eldest grandson, Troy Culberson, has been living like a North Carolinian since his family moved to the Tar Heel State in 2017. Now he's sounding like one, too.
Vicki's son-in-law, Ryan Culberson, recently shared an adorable video of Troy, 6, counting to 100 by fives. And it's clear that Troy isn't in Orange County anymore. "Look at that Newport Beach, CA born boy bringing out that southern twang on his 5’s!" Ryan exclaimed in the caption to the video on Instagram.
Ryan also noted how this was a "proud father moment" for him that also provided all-important "proof he's doing his homework" while his mom and Vicki's daughter, Briana Culberson, is at work.
Troy's little brother, Owen Culberson, can also be seen in the background of the video. The 4-year-old doesn't say anything in the clip, but we can't wait to hear his cute "southern twang" in the future.
Vicki has already noticed a difference in how her grandsons are growing up in North Carolina versus Orange County. “I was back at her house a couple weeks ago and Troy said something … and she goes, ‘What’d you say?’ and he goes, ‘Yes,’ and she goes, ‘Yes, ma’am,’ and I’m like, ‘Oh God, you’re starting the Southern thing already;’ she goes, ‘Yes, the boys are gonna know yes, ma’am, no, sir, and very proper,'" Vicki explained during an interview with The Daily Dish podcast in August 2018. "So they are raising their kids in the Southern way, which is fine; I just want them to be respectful people.”
