Wendy Williams hasn't exactly had an easy 2019, and she revealed on her talk show on Monday (July 8) that in addition to suffering from hyperthyroidism and Graves’ disease, she was also recently diagnosed with an additional condition, lymphoedema, which is defined as "swelling that generally occurs in one of your arms or legs. Sometimes both arms or both legs swell."

“Lymphoedema, by the way, I’ve been diagnosed,” she explained, via PEOPLE, to the audience in response to recent paparazzi shots of her with swollen ankles. “It’s not going to kill me, but I do have a machine — and how dare you talk about the swelling of it all.”

Wendy shared the news after a challenging year that has included many headline-making incidents, such as a split from her husband, Kevin Hunter, a hiatus from her talk show to deal with her health issues, as well as a stay in a sober house to handle substance abuse issues.

As for this latest development with her health, Wendy noted on Monday, “I’ve got it under control. If [the swelling] in my feet never goes all the way down, at least I have this machine. I sit for 45 minutes a day. It’s the best party entertainer ever. Everybody [that] comes over wants to do it.”
