This Is What Cameran Eubanks Really Wanted to Name Her Daughter
The Southern Charm mom revealed she wasn't on board at first with the name Palmer.
When Cameran Eubanks announced her daughter's name, Palmer Corrine Wimberly, some people assumed the first name was a family name. However, those people would be wrong. And in fact, the Southern Charm first-time mom didn't even care for the name Palmer... at first.
"Everyone thinks it's a family name[;] it's not. I didn't like it at first," Cameran confirmed in an Instagram Story on December 5.
So where did it come from then? "Jason came up with it," she revealed. "I wanted to name her June or Larkin."
Luckily, the name grew on Cameran: "I finally caved and now I can't imagine her being called anything else. If we had a boy we were going to name him Banks."

Cameran elaborated more on the origins of Palmer's name to The Daily Dish: "My husband actually came up with the name and I am convinced that it is from a movie. There is a Sports Illustrated model in this movie [Just Go With It], Brooklyn Decker, and the character that she plays, her name was Palmer," she said. "And so I think that is where he got it from."
And with that signature sense of humor, Cameran added, "She’s named after a Sports Illustrated model with blonde hair and big boobs. It’s not an old southern family name like you would assume."
Actress Brooklyn Decker responded to being called the inspiration behind Palmer's name when she was a guest on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen; check that out in the video below.
