Donie Burch Says "Things Get Shaken Up" in Dancing Queens Finale: Here's What to Expect

Pooja Mehta, Donie Burch, and Sabrina Strasser dropped hints about some upcoming twists on Dancing Queens.

This season of Dancing Queens has delivered plenty of drama both on the dance floor and off, as competitors have faced off against each other and confronted their own internal struggles, including concerns being a good mom, partner problems, family expectations, body image issues, and more.

How to Watch

Watch Dancing Queens on Peacock and the Bravo app.

Meanwhile, Millennium, the all-important championship, awaits. Everything is on the line because everyone wants to win. What can we expect from the series’ finale? Three of the dancers gave some hints during a recent interview.

Some winning streaks may not last, Donie Burch teased.

The results of the competitions are going to get kind of shaken up,” she told The Daily Dish. Nobody, she added, “can just rest on their laurels and assume that things will be how they have been for them in the past.”

Look for the scale of everything to be pumped up, added Donie.

“There’s some more drama within the group,” she said. “Earlier in the season it was more individualistic. So that will be fun.”

Meanwhile, Millennium “is a super big competition. The sets are really cool, and it’s very over the top.”

The field of dancers is also bigger.

“There are people competing against us who are not on this show,” said Donie.  “There will be some new ladies that have not been seen. You just never know what could happen.”

Pooja Mehta says expect insights in the Dancing Queens finale

For Pooja Mehta, whose mom and sister also dance, switching her dance category to Latin from American Rhythm has been a heckuva challenge. And that’s a good thing.

“If you love something and you’re good at it, a challenge is great,” she told The Daily Dish, adding that it takes guts to “go and try something new.”

A fresh experience can be a sort of wake-up call — one that brings focus and clarity about where we are and what we’re pursuing.

“All I’m gonna say,” said Pooja, “is that we try all these things just to make sure that the initial thing we had was what we really wanted.” Yes, we’re intrigued.

Sabrina Strasser says expect surprises in the Dancing Queens finale

“Everybody is waiting for my meltdown,” said Sabrina Strasser, who acknowledges that it “is definitely coming.”

That said, she told The Daily Dish, “a bad day” doesn’t define a competitor. She spoke for all dancers, saying, “You can really pick up the pieces.”

On a personal note, Sabrina expects the finale to spark more Dancing Queens.

“I just think people will want to see more dancing,” she said.
