We Have a Major Update on Josiah Carter's Yachting Career
Find out what the Below Deck alum is up to these days.
Josiah Carter is "back to it." The Below Deck alum has officially returned to the world of yachting, and he's giving fans a glimpse at his new gig.
Josiah, whom we first met while he was serving as a stew in Season 6 of Below Deck, announced in a post on Instagram on August 2 that he is back to working on boats. "So nice to be back working on yachts, it’s like riding a bike, you never forget!!" Josiah captioned the post, which featured a selfie of him on the dock in Sóller, Mallorca in the Balearic Islands of Spain.
A huge yacht can also be seen behind Josiah in the photo. He noted that he is "helping out a friend on a charter."
Josiah gave his followers an even better look at his new workspace, taking fans on the deck of the yacht in a video in his Instagram Story.
It was revealed during Season 8 of Below Deck that Josiah was going to step in as stew for the My Seanna crew after Elizabeth Frankini was let go. However, the charter season came to an abrupt end just as Josiah was getting ready to fly out to Antigua.
Still, Captain Lee Rosbach shared during the Below Deck Season 8 reunion that he had every confidence that Josiah would have been an incredible asset to the crew if he had joined the charter season. "Si is extremely capable. He knows what needs to be done. He observes what needs to be done," Captain Lee said. "His anticipation of guests' needs is remarkable. And that's what it takes."
While reflecting on the moment he found out he wouldn't be joining the Below Deck crew in a post on Instagram in March, Josiah expressed his hope to "get back out to the yachts this summer."
Earlier this year, Josiah made his triumphant return to Bravo as part of Below Deck Galley Talk. Now, he and Julia d'Albert Pusey are back to break down all the nauti yachtie behavior in Below Deck Mediterranean Galley Talk, which airs new episodes every Friday at 8/7c.
