Who Is Kelly Dodd’s Fiancé Rick Leventhal?
Get to know the RHOC mom's future hubby a little better.
Kelly Dodd got engaged to her her new boyfriend, Rick Leventhal, on November 13 after he popped the question and presented her with a massive four-carat, pear-shaped diamond ring.
It was a quick courtship: After her breakup with Dr. Brian Reagan, who fans have seen her dating on this season of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Kelly met Rick just this past summer at one of his barbecues in the Hamptons while Kelly was staying with fellow Housewife Ramona Singer. So now, it's time to get to know Rick, the man who might tempt this OC faithful to move to the East Coast, or who at least may pop up on future episodes of RHOC.
He's a senior news correspondent
Rick has been with Fox News since 1997 and has seen his fair share of dangerous military frontlines and natural disasters alike.
Since he's been dating Kelly, he covered Tropical Storm Dorian (later upgraded to a hurricane) in Puerto Rico.
He's a New Yorker
But Kelly doesn't seem to mind the commute. "Very nice view, Rick Leventhal," she said to her beau in a video posted to her Instagram Stories in September. "I'm moving in!"
He is a father of two
His eldest daughter, Veronica, 28, is a licensed social worker for the Legal Aid Society of NYC, while his youngest, Shoshana, 23, is in college.
He has two ex-wives
Rick was married to former regional TV reporter Penny Daniels (the mother of his two daughters). He was also married to Beth Shak for nine months until their divorce in 2017.
He hasn't "properly met" Kelly's daughter
“She hasn’t met Rick yet but she sees him on FaceTime,” Kelly confessed to Page Six during BravoCon 2019 weekend in NYC, where Rick lives. “So she’s met him, but she hasn’t properly met him.”
He loves showing off Kelly on social media
Rick's feed is full of adoring photos of him with Kelly and Kelly looking lovingly at him. Looks like a match made in heaven!
