See What Has Kyle Cooke Questioning His Relationship with Amanda Batula

The Summer House Season 8 trailer teases what happened in the weeks leading up to Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke's breakup, but spouses Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula also weren't in the best place in their relationship during that time.

According to their bios for the season, Kyle and Amanda are on "different pages" in their relationship. "Amanda is ready to leave NYC behind and buy a house in the suburbs, but Kyle has other ideas as he continues to expand and focus on his company," Amanda's bio continues.

In a preview for the Season 8 premiere, which will air on February 22, Kyle and Amanda clash over how much time they've been able to spend together. Find out if they'll be able to have a "fun" summer together by scrolling below.

In the preview, Kyle takes a pause from the fun and frivolity to talk to Amanda about a serious topic. "I know we do really good hanging out with our friends separately, [but] what I want for this summer is for us to actually spend more time together," Kyle explains, which you can check out by watching the video at the top of this post. "I know we're like the anti-attached [at] the hip couple —"

"Well, that's your fault," Amanda responds. "All you do is spend time in your office."

As Amanda recalls, the spouses "used to have arguments" because all she wanted was for him to "be more present."

"And you would never do that," she continues. "And I just accepted that. And now I'm happy not hanging out with you at parties."

"I know, and now I want it back a little bit," Kyle says, and Amanda notes, "It doesn't work like that."

Kyle adds that when he comes home from work trips, he expects more of a reaction from his bride. It's even made him wonder if she's not missing him when he's gone. 

"I miss you, and I'm like, 'Wait, do you not miss me?'" he says.

In another preview clip for the Season 8 premiere (which airs at 9/8c on February 22), Amanda chats with Paige DeSorbo, Ciara Miller, Gabby Prescod, and Danielle Olivera about some of her recent grievances with her husband.

"I might be in my 'No patience' era," Amanda jokes. "For Kyle, specifically. That's just kind of what I'm f-cking stuck with."

Amanda goes on to explain that by living and working together, she's been spending a lot of time with Kyle. 

"There's a reason why I come back to the house every year," she adds in an interview on the episode. "And it is to spend time with people other than Kyle."

Plus, she says when she took a pregnancy test during Winter House Season 3, she felt a shift in their relationship.

"Over the winter, I ended up taking a pregnancy test, and I feel like, ever since, we haven't been in a really good place. The test really made us start to think about what's next for us," she concludes. "And, we're not ready."
