Hillary Clinton Comments on Why Melania Trump Wouldn't Hold Donald Trump's Hand

Hillary Clinton threw some shade at the first lady on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

During the first few months of Donald Trump's presidency in 2017, one of the things we were talking about was a viral moment in which it appeared that First Lady Melania Trump declined to hold hands with her husband after they disembarked Air Force One in Tel Aviv, Israel.

How to Watch

Tune in to WWHL on Bravo Sunday through Thursday and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

Many have tried to get to the bottom of this through the years, from Geraldo Rivera to the president's onetime date, Candice Bergen. But if there's anyone who could provide some insight in the matter, we would think it would be former first lady and Trump's 2016 presidential opponent, Hillary Clinton.

Luckily, one fan got the chance to ask Clinton for her take on the moment during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on March 5. "What do you think of Melania always swatting Trump's hand away when he tries to hold her hand?" the caller asked the former Secretary of State, to which she replied, "I am the last person to comment on anybody's relationship."

So, could Clinton help shed some light on another Trump mystery? Andy Cohen also asked her what she thinks is going on with POTUS' hair during the episode. "I don't know," Clinton said. "I think we all know something's happening."

When asked if daughter Chelsea Clinton's friendship with Ivanka Trump has "soured" at all since Donald Trump got elected as president, she said, "I don't know. You'd have to ask her."

Clinton got a little shady about the Trumps during a round of Plead the Fifth with Andy (clip above). When the WWHL host asked Clinton for her thoughts on the first lady's cyberbullying initiative, she replied, "I think she should look closer to home."

Now that's a line worthy of The Real Housewives if we ever heard one. So it's no surprise that Clinton came prepared to deliver her Housewives tagline on WWHL: "I'm neither as good or as bad as some people say."

Clinton even rubbed elbows with a real-life Real Housewife on WWHL. Dorinda Medley, who actually goes way back with the Clintons, joined her and Andy for a special shotski in the Clubhouse.
