Austen Kroll’s New “Love” Weighed In on *Those* Dating Rumors: “He’s Awesome”
The Bachelorette’s Tayshia Adams responded to Austen’s recent claim that they’re “in love” with each other.
Winter House's Austen Kroll is no stranger to dating rumors — including those he starts himself. After the Southern Charm joked in the caption of a recent Instagram Stories post that he and The Bachelorette's Tayshia Adams are "in love," The Bachelorette's Season 16 co-lead is clearing up any confusion.
In a Wednesday, December 7, Us Weekly interview, New York City-based Tayshia explained that she and Austen have been friends since they met during a joint appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in October 2021. "We have a couple of mutual friends here in the city and every time he is here, I happen to run into the man. But he's awesome," she told the magazine. "I can't say that we're fully in love like he has claimed, but love you, Austen."
The Southern Charm-er, for his part, previously addressed another round of romance rumors during BravoCon 2022. When asked about speculation he was dating fellow cast member Taylor Ann Green, Austen had a sarcastic response. “We are madly in love and we’re together,” he jokingly announced to the panel's audience, before keeping the ruse going by adding, "Taylor and I are expecting."
However, Taylor set the record straight, interjecting that they were "totally not together."
Meanwhile, this season on Winter House, Austen's dating life has stirred up plenty of drama between him and his ex, Ciara Miller. In a recent episode, they sparred over everything from Ciara's admission of the last time she had sex, to Austen's desire to bring his "girl" Olivia Flowers for a Vermont visit.
During Part 1 of the Southern Charm Season 8 reunion, Austen explained that he and Olivia ultimately called off their romance out of fear of jeopardizing their friendship. That didn't stop them from "getting cozy" at BravoCon though.
"It's come to my attention that I wasn’t able to properly convey at the reunion just how much that this girl right here means to me and how close that we’ve gotten over the past year and change," he shared, referencing Olivia, during the cast's BravoCon panel. "She means the absolute world to me, so watching back the reunion and kinda seeing how she was hurt by it, really, really hurt me. So, I made a big effort to change that. So, we've had a wonderful weekend."
Though it appears Austen's still yet to settle down, he's had no problems fueling romance rumors.
