So, What Is Currently Going On Between Austen Kroll and Olivia Flowers?

The Southern Charm cast members spilled the tea on why they were spotted “getting cozy” at BravoCon 2022.

Is romance blooming once again between Austen Kroll and Olivia Flowers? Though they revealed at the Southern Charm Season 8 reunion that they were “not in a relationship,” the duo sowed plenty of doubt during BravoCon 2022's Southern Charmers panel on Sunday, October 16.

An audience member noted during a Q&A that Austen and Olivia were “getting a little cozy last night,” before asking where they stand today. The fan wasn’t the only one who was curious, though. Shep Rose immediately responded, “Yes, I want this answer too,” with several other Southern Charm cast members chiming in that they all want the answer.

After Shep’s cousin Marcie Hobbs added, “They’re always cozy,” Olivia simply joked, “Did you all see his butt?”

Austen, for his part, had a bit more to say about the situation. “It’s come to my attention that I wasn’t able to properly convey at the reunion just how much that this girl right here means to me and how close that we’ve gotten over the past year and change,” he explained, referencing Olivia. “She means the absolute world to me, so watching back the reunion and kinda seeing how she was hurt by it, really, really hurt me. So, I made a big effort to change that. So, we’ve had a wonderful weekend.”

Unsatisfied with his vague answer, Shep interjected, “No, no. More details, please.” Meanwhile, Marcie asked Austen, “Are you gonna propose?”

When Austen turned the tables and asked Shep to spill about his “reconciliation,” however, he swiftly backed off from his line of questioning.

Ultimately, it was Craig Conover who might’ve put it best when he remarked, “BravoCon is a place for lovers, and that is OK.”

During Part 1 of the Season 8 reunion, Austen explained that he and Olivia ultimately called off their romance out of fear of jeopardizing their friendship. “Look at all this turmoil up here,” he said, turning to his fellow Southern Charm cast members. “We both talked and were like, ‘I don’t want to ever lose you in the capacity that we’ve seen our friends…’ or in the way that me and [Madison LeCroy], we don’t speak.”

Olivia, for her part, offered up a few more details. “It was romantic for a time — especially when we were done filming, we got to take advantage of that time of just having fun and not putting so much pressure on the label,” she added, placing blame on their relationship status being stuck “in the gray area” for too long. “After a while, it just kind of chips away at your confidence and where you see things going, and it kind of felt like I was being put on hold.”

But apparently sometimes nothing’s cozier than the warmth of an old flame.
