Would Hannah Ferrier and Bobby Giancola Ever Date Each Other?
The #BelowDeckMed yachties dish on their high-seas chemistry.
With all of the flirting on board the Ionian Princess this season of Below Deck Mediterranean, perhaps "the Love Boat" would be a more appropriate moniker for the vessel. Hannah Ferrier and Bobby Giancola are two of the yatchies looking particularly friendly lately.
So would these two ever give a romantic relationship a shot on land? “Oh no — I’d never date him! Bobby is like my brother,” Hannah said in a recent interview with Us Weekly.
Well, these two certainly haven't acted like siblings this season of Below Deck Med, embracing each other and even sharing a kiss in recent episodes. Hannah also seemed to have a grand old time applying sunscreen on Bobby's chiseled body earlier this season. “Why would you not?! I just think he’s hot!” Hannah explained. “And he works hard for it. He should be appreciated that way. I don’t know. I’m a big fan of, like, really shiny pretty things, and Bobby is very shiny and pretty. For us, it’s just playful. And I’m single — I can do what I want!”
Bobby agreed with Hannah that a relationship was never on the horizon for them. “Obviously, Hannah is hot. But I thought she and [our costar] Ben [Robinson] had a thing, so I didn’t go for it,” he told Us. “I also had a thing for [my other costar] Julia [d’Albert Pusey], so when things got really flirty between me and Hannah, I pulled back because I didn’t want Julia to think I was some kind of player.”
He also explained why he continued to flirt with Julia this season, even though he knew she had a boyfriend back home. “I thought I had a chance with Julia because of all her flirting that she was doing. So it was a whirlwind of emotion!” Bobby said. “That didn’t seem like a serious relationship to me, because I wouldn’t leave my significant other at home while I got out to work on a yacht for an extended period of time. I thought she was fair game because of that, and she was flirty back with me.”
And these yachties previously told The Daily Dish that it's almost inevitable for romance to be in the air while out at sea. "In terms of flirting on yachts, it's something that's always gonna happen," Hannah told The Daily Dish earlier this summer. "It's like almost a stress relief when you're at sea to kind of just have a bit of banter."
But that's not necessarily a good thing. "It's pretty much always a bad idea, but we still do it anyway," Hannah joked during the interview. "It's almost like, imagine having a fight with your boyfriend and then not being able to be any further than 35 meters away from him for the next month. Or breaking up with him, and you literally have to see them 400 times a day. It's not fun."
Bobby has his eye on a lady outside of the Ionian Princess crew in Tuesday night's new episode of Below Deck Med airing at 9/8c. Dive into a sneak peek, below.
