Carole Radziwill has very strong feelings on the topic of cheese mixed with avocado, and it looks like The Real Housewives of New York City alum is not alone. When cookbook author Ayesha Curry revealed that she spruces up her guacamole with a little Havarti cheese, the tip got quite the reaction.
Curry let her Havarti secret fly on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where she did a segment sharing recipe ideas for cocktails, chips, and dip. "Whoa! That's new," Ellen said. And fellow guest Jennifer Aniston — somewhat of a guacamole connoisseur — added, "That is new," and served a facial expression that subtly broadcast: I'm not so sure.
Later, Hello Giggles had this to say about the guacamole-with-a-spin: "We don't know how to feel."
So, where do you come down in the cheese-versus-no-cheese-in-guacamole debate? While we love a cheesy nacho dipped in a little guac (#cleaneating, right?), we prefer to keep the dip itself a little more simple. That said, don't knock it until you try it! Some experimental Havarti might just be in our immediate future. Say, around lunchtime?
