Being in the "Cake Boss" family has its privileges! Consider the cake Buddy Valastro just whipped up in celebration of his adorable niece Mila's second birthday. And what about the epic confection he made for his son's holy communion?
Certainly being a venerated elder in an Italian family is its own cause for daily celebration. So when Valastro's wife Lisa's grandfather turned 89, it was only natural that the Cake Boss crew would whip up something truly special in honor of the big man's birthday.
"Happy 89th birthday nonno! We love you," Buddy captioned an Instagram shot, showing the pair standing together at a kitchen counter, leaning into a massive birthday cake that dwarfs them both. The four-tier cake, surrounded by slivered almonds and topped with chopped candied fruit, is topped with a birthday message to the patriarch, 89 years young.
