Jeff Bezos’ Girlfriend Lauren Sanchez Claims to Shun Attention While Dining at High-Profile Restaurant

Hey, even die-hard New Yorkers with nothing to hide sometimes opt for the city's more, shall we say, lower-profile eateries. (Looking at you, Andy Cohen.) On the flip side, it's certainly easy to get noticed at one of NYC's see-and-be-seen restaurants, if that's your goal. And, when it comes to Jeff Bezos' girlfriend Lauren Sanchez, it appears that her stated goals and her actual behaviors may not exactly line up...

Apparently — given the frenzy of media attention paid to their relationship amid Bezos' multibillion-dollar divorce, and its accompanying sexting-extortion scandal — Sanchez said she preferred to keep a low profile while out and about in town. But she made this claim at Nello, the Upper East Side Eatery on Madison Avenue (known in part for exorbitant pricing), according to Page Six.

Page Six cites "a spy" who reported overhearing Sanchez explaining to lunch companions that she wished to avoid the spotlight. Naturally, on her way out of the restaurant, she was snapped by the paparazzi — as one would expect after a meal at a place like that.

Days before, the pair also went for pizza and burgers on a date night at Emily in Manhattan's West Village. And in February, Page Six reported the couple planned to go “on a low-key date to In-N-Out... before the Oscars to show they’re together and not make a big deal about it.”

So that's a strategy — although plenty of people would argue that In-N-Out is a very big deal...
