Jordyn Woods Blamed the Dangers of "Normal" L.A. Drinking Culture for Tristan Thompson Scandal
On Red Table Talk, Jordyn Woods described to Jada Pinkett Smith what led to the Tristan Thompson incident.
Well, the truth — or Jordyn Woods' version of it — is out there. In a much-anticipated episode of Red Table Talk, Kylie Jenner's (former?) best friend spoke to Jada Pinkett Smith about the accusations that she hooked up with Khloe Kardashian's (now ex) boyfriend Tristan Thompson. Her version of the story offers various explanations for what led to the events of that day — but mainly, she points the finger at the particular social norms around drinking in Los Angeles.
Woods explained to Smith,"Sunday night, I went to dinner with some friends and I went to this bar after. There was a party going on. I was minding my business, dancing, drinking. Tristan was there, he was doing his own thing, that was it."
But after the party it was the after party — to borrow a lyric from another embattled pop cultural figure — and that's when things got tricky.
"After the club... Normal L.A. culture when you're young [is] go to the bar, go to the club, it ends early, we all go to a house after," Woods explained, referring to Los Angeles' relatively earlier closing hours compared to other cities such as New York.
"We're not thinking about whose house or where it's at," she explained. "We're all having fun, we're in the moment."
Indeed. And that moment — which Woods attributed to the culture of drinking among a certain set — led to this moment.
In an apparently unrelated story, Kylie engaged in some L.A. drinking culture of her own, stepping out last night at West Hollywood nightspot Delilah amid reports that her own baby's father Travis Scott cheated on her as well.
