Indeed, we caught nary a glimpse of many of the details from inside the duchess' lavish party (which was naturally kept mainly confidential); they were said to include a harpist, a cotton-candy machine, and a lesson in floral arrangement. In baby speak: Wah! We wanted to see.
And then we did get a glimpse! And it's a good, tasty one, too: Thanks to Markle's longtime friend and makeup artist, Daniel Martin, we got a peek at what we can only assume were the baby shower's sweets.
In a February 20 Instagram post, Martin — who had also posted photos of himself entering the shower — shared this snap:
Though he didn't name the duchess' baby shower specifically, where else would you find such royally adorable, impeccably executed treats? The rattle is frosted in gold; the stork is improbably elegant, and the baby bib appears made of edible lace.
This was one delicious detail shot worth waiting for.
