Before she was tasting lemon-and-elderflower wedding cakes for her royal wedding to Prince Harry, Meghan Markle was crunching into a popular party snack. Or, at least, acting like she was — and getting paid for it. 

Like many actresses, the former Suits star had a lot of seemingly random roles before nabbing the job that helped her make a name for herself. (Briefcase model, anyone?) And, as it turns out, shilling for Tostitos was one of those gigs. 

In 2009, the California-born beauty starred in a commercial that featured her standing in a grocery store, seriously contemplating which snacks she was going to pick up for a bash. (And we mean seriously. Wait till you see that furrowed brow!) 

Finding that other brands of tortilla chips have an alarming amount of ingredients, she settles on Tostitos as the cleanest of the bunch. And, thanks to a candid voiceover, we get to hear the future royal's entire thought process as she makes the selection. Riveting television indeed! (Seriously, though: It does make us want a crunchy snack — the lovely Markle, who has always been poised, could sell us just about anything.) Check out the clip below.
