Fatima Ali Fulfills Another Bucket-List Item as a Guest on Ellen — And Gets $50,000 to Visit Her Dream Restaurants
The Bravo's Top Chef fan favorite is indulging in life's great pleasures while living with her terminal cancer diagnosis.
When Bravo's Top Chef Season 15 Fan Favorite Chef Fatima Ali penned an essay to share the heartbreaking news that her cancer has returned, she wrote that she's committed fully to making the most of the days of that she has left — including booking tables at some restaurants she's always wanted to visit locally and around the world. What she didn't note in the essay is that she's also a huge Ellen DeGeneres fan — and found some lightness in the show during her illness while watching with her mom.
Well now, Chef Fati is working her way through her self-described "bucket list" in style — because she just appeared as a guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. And the host presented her with a check for $50,000 courtesy of sponsor Shutterfly to travel and dine at some of the restaurants of her dreams.
Fati made the trip to Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank on November 1 for the taping — with her supportive mom, siblings, cousin, and aunt all in tow. The show is scheduled to air today, November 2.
