Top Chef Now Has Its Very Own Bourbon Blend — Just in Time for the Kentucky Season
"Our time at Maker's Mark was a real joy for me," said Bravo's Top Chef host Tom Colicchio.
Tom Colicchio just revealed that Season 16 of Bravo's Top Chef in Kentucky, which premieres on December 6 at 9/8c, is one of his all-time favorites. Why? Well, he elaborated that one of the reasons this new season is extra special is that the show is getting its own Maker's Mark Top Chef Private Select Bourbon!
While at a special Maker's Mark dinner at his New York City restaurant Craft on Tuesday, Tom spoke about the exciting news. "Having had the chance to experience the beautiful Maker’s Mark Distillery, and really get a sense for how the food culture across Kentucky is really coming into its own, this season of Top Chef, and specifically our time at Maker’s Mark was a real joy for me," Tom told Food and Wine.
According to the publication, the tasting notes for Top Chef Private Select Bourbon suggest that it features harmonious notes of flavors like brown sugar, vanilla, caramel, dried fruit, maple, and cacao. Season 16 viewers will see the new bourbon being made at the Maker's Mark distillery on an episode airing on December 13, and will have an opportunity to purchase a limited edition bottle from a run of just 480 bottles the next day at the distillery and select retailers around the country.
Hopefully, Tom got a lot of his new favorite bourbon — and one of those delectable-looking bourbon slushies that co-host Padma Lakshmi found out about — while shooting the upcoming Bravo's Top Chef Season 16 in Kentucky, which premieres on December 6 at 9/8c.
