Kandi Burruss Went All Out on Her Family’s Thanksgiving Dinner (PICS)
The RHOA mom shared a peek at the incredible meal she prepared for the holiday.
Is there anything Kandi Burruss can’t do?
Although she’s best known as a successful businesswoman and entertainment powerhouse, The Real Housewives of Atlanta mom has gained a reputation as a serious foodie. In addition to owning a couple of ATL eateries — Old Lady Gang and Blaze Steak & Seafood — Kandi has also proven to be quite the talented cook, as she's whipped up some delicious-looking meals for various get-togethers.
Fans got another glimpse at Kandi’s culinary skills this week when she took to social media on Thanksgiving Eve. The Grammy winner posted an Instagram Story of three desserts she was preparing for her family’s holiday meal and provided a quick breakdown of the other menu items.
What was on Kandi Burruss' 2023 Thanksgiving menu?
“OK, so I’m gonna be up all night, but at least I got my three pound cakes done,” she said in a November 22 video. “When I tell you that thang gonna be so moist… and then mine have a little crunch at the bottom. That thang gonna be good, OK? I’m just letting you know it’s about to be an all-nighter. I still gotta make my dressing and my greens. Cornbread is in the oven, smoked turkey meat is boiling right now.”
Kandi returned to social media the following day to provide several peeks at her family’s Thanksgiving dinner. She had set up a kitchen buffet that included holiday favorites, like macaroni and cheese, dressing, sweet potatoes, bread rolls, and blackeye peas, as well as a fried turkey and a grilled turkey cooked by her husband, Todd Tucker.
Kandi also revealed that she and Mama Joyce Jones had made similar pies, and joked that hers was the superior version.
“I made this sweet potato pie, my mama made that one. Stay on that one,” she said while pointing the camera to her dessert. “I’m just messing with you, mama.”
Kandi, Todd, and Mama Joyce were joined by a handful of friends and family members, including Kandi’s daughter, Riley Burruss; Todd’s daughter, Kaela Tucker; as well as the Bravo couple’s youngest children, Ace and Blaze Tucker.
Kandi Burruss gives back ahead of Turkey Day
In the days leading up to Thanksgiving, Kandi and Mama Joyce participated in a years-long tradition that assisted their community. The mother and daughter helped distribute turkeys and other grocery essentials at the annual Kandi C.A.R.E.S. Foundation Thanksgiving Grocery Store Pop-Up in East Point, Georgia.
The event was held in collaboration with the nonprofit organization Goodr Inc. and the City of East Point.
