Marlo Hampton Reveals the Side Effects of Her Recent Hair Transplant: "It Was Bad"
The Real Housewives of Atlanta friend appeared on camera with her swollen face after undergoing hair transplant surgery.
Anyone who follows Marlo Hampton on Instagram, or on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, is well aware of her sexy, glamorous side. We've see the fashionista slaying her pool day in an eye-popping bikini, sipping cocktails from her diamond-drenched home bar, and lounging on her couch in full-on mermaid glam. But even when the Atlanta aunt isn't feeling quite so picture-perfect, she's still willing to hop on Instagram Live and give her fans the tea.
In a recent video, Marlo shared that she'd just had a hair transplant. The minimally invasive surgical procedure takes hair from one part of the body (say, the back of the head) and transplants it to another part of the body, such as the top of the head, that has bald patches or thinning hair. And as Marlo explained, there are some considerable side-effects.
"I had a hair transplant, you guys," the RHOA friend said in her post. "So all the fluid and everything from my head just went to my face. In a couple of days, it should be going down." But at first, "y'all really would have been freaked out," she continued. "My eyes were closed. It was bad."
Even so, "I feel it was so worth it," Marlo said. "The doctor said in six to 12 weeks that my edges are gonna grow so full, and then they're gonna fall out. Then they’ll grow back."
