Phaedra Parks Got Her Son an “Investment Property” for His 13th Birthday: Details
The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum also threw Ayden a carnival-themed birthday party that she called a “royal coronation.”
Anyone who knows Phaedra Parks will not be surprised to hear that she just threw a lavish birthday party for one of her kids. After all, when her son Ayden turned 1, The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum hosted a bash that involved 12 — yes, 12 — cakes. (That would be one for each month of his life up to that point.)
So when Ayden turned 13 this year, Phaedra obviously hosted an over-the-top party (more on that later). However, we were not expecting the gift she gave her newly minted teenager.
Phaedra’s “Investment Property” for Ayden
The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip alum discussed the gift with The Messenger. “I gave him a piece of investment property because he loves investments and money,” the attorney told the outlet. “He wanted a dirt bike, [but I thought], ‘Let me get you something that you won’t kill yourself [on]. Let me get you something that’s going to be useful.’”
She continued: “I’ll probably have to worry about this rental property, but I won’t worry about it as much! We are going to do a project together where we will rehab that property, so I’m super excited about that.”
Ayden’s Carnival-Themed Birthday Party
The Messenger also shared the details of Ayden’s 13th birthday party, which allegedly cost $70,000. “[Ayden] loves carnivals, so we had an actual carnival company come and do the carnival games,” she told the publication.
“You could win gifts and toys, but then the kids also played basketball — we have a half court on my property — and they danced, and it was just a fun time. Then the fire handler came and spewed fire, and then the stilt walkers gave us a great show. So I think it was entertaining to all.”
Entertaining and delicious. “We had everything you would get at a country fair,” Phaedra continued. “We had funnel cakes, salmon sliders, fried fish, hush puppies, french fries, hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken fingers, [and] chicken wings.” And for dessert? Just a casual 13-tiered cake that was completely customized for the birthday boy.
And yes, Phaedra knows that the 120-guest event was, shall we say, a lot. “I mean, it was almost like a little royal coronation,” she allowed. However, the party commemorated a truly special occasion.
“Of course, he’s 13 now, so he’s entering true adolescence,” the proud mama said. And if that doesn’t merit stilt walkers and funnel cakes, what does?
