Shereé Whitfield Gives a Shocking Update on the Fate of SHE by Shereé
The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum revealed what happened to her much-anticipated line of luxe joggers on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
If there is one thing that 2020 has gifted us, it's a slightly unhealthy relationship with our comfy sweats. So if there was one fashion drop that would've elevated our at-home 'fits, it would be Shereé Whitfield's much-anticipated line of cozy joggers called SHE by Shereé.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum first introduced the beginnings of her would-be fashion empire during early seasons of the show (including the infamous fashion show with "no fashions"). Since then, the label has morphed from high-end, runway brand to a more low-key incarnation that included joggers, T-shirts, and streetwear.
Last we checked, Shereé was hard at work on a reimagined version of her label. But alas, it seems as though the drawer is permanently shut on our dreams of getting decked out by Shereé.
On October 7, Andy Cohen hosted the prestigious "Golden Robe Awards" on Watch What Happens with Andy Cohen to celebrate the best and brightest moments in the Bravo Clubhouse. Naturally, Shereé was nominated for "Best @Home Vault Item" to honor the time she flashed fully dressed mannequins in her collection of joggers and separates. When Shereé accepted her award (Queen!), she revealed yet another twist in the fate of her casual outfits.
"I feel like your appearance with all the joggers made everyone so excited about more joggers,"Andy exclaimed. "Did it light the fire? Will we be seeing them?"
"You know what, Andy, first... you know, after we talked, the whole world shut down — that's factories, your manufacturing... that's everything. So that was the end of the joggers. But who knows. There's been so much huge talk about it. Who knows? One day I may, but right now, I'm not."
So there you have it. To put the nail in the collection's coffin, Shereé took to Instagram to thank everyone for their enthusiasm, saying, "It was such an honor to receive the prestigious Golden Robe Award tonight on behalf of my Spring/ Summer Jogger line that NEVER was!"
In her post, Shereé lounged in a silver, silk wrap dress with coordinated surroundings, because — of course she did. "It’s been sitting in Chateau Shereé," she confessed,"AKA Neverland and only occasionally making its debut on myself, lol!"
Well, there you have it. SHE will never be.
