Family Time

Adrienne makes a special promise to Taylor and Kyle.

By Adrienne Maloof

Unlike the previous episodes we've seen this season, tonight was all about family! It was refreshing to get a glimpse of what happens when the make-up comes off, the hair comes down, and we can just be with our children. Just like many of you out there, we're all hard-working moms who love our children to death. And just like the rest of you, we deal with the same ill-timed whining, crying and temper tantrums that come with being a parent. As I always say, I run multi-million dollar businesses but without a doubt the hardest job in the world is being a mom.

Now for my cooking skills?? Hmmmmm, let's just move on.

There was a moment in this week's episode that I found particularly touching. Lisa's son Max made a surprise appearance for her birthday lunch, and I must say, like Lisa, my eyes teared up. That would be a special moment for any mom whose children are away from home. I'm sure I'll experience that same empty nest feeling when my boys are all grown up. But not so fast, they're mine for at least 12 more years!!!

P.S. Taylor and Kyle did an amazing job on their daughters' birthday party. Before you know it, they will be turning 21! And guess what? I'll be sure to comp them a Sky Villa at the Palms. And we all know, what happens at the Palms, stays at the Palms!

Wink ;)
