What You Don't Know
Dana shares some more details about her first episode and her first impressions of Brandi.
Let me begin by saying how difficult it is to see yourself on camera. This whole "being on TV" has been a surreal experience for me. I am definitely not used to it at all. I don't think I will ever be, but I am excited to see where the journey takes me!
In my first episode, there are a few things about me you didn't see, which I would love to explain. First, I thought you guys would have closure knowing that I was so happy to donate $400 to receive Lisa's charity dinner at Villa Blanca. The dinner ended up being for four people. I still haven't used it (and will likely give it away to a fan of the show when the time is right). Let's face it -- dieting isn't easy there! LOL!
I'm sure you noticed that Mauricio and I seem to be standing really close when he is discussing his childhood disease. The reason for that was not that I don't understand personal space, but that I had gone up to help him auction off a bracelet. Earlier, he told me his childhood story, and it really touched me. So I asked him to share it with the crowd, because it would help the people understand why the charity is so important to him personally. That's why I'm standing and looking so intense right there.
One of the first encounters I had with Brandi was that night. I asked her "Oh I'm so sorry, how did you break your foot?" She told me, and I'm paraphrasing, that she fell off her high heel. I was like, "That can't really be the story. What a silly way to say you broke your foot." Why wouldn't you say "I just fell"? Anyway, then I glanced down at her feet, and she was wearing one stiletto heel and I'm thinking "Isn't that dangerous based on the way you broke your foot in the first place. You're really asking for trouble now!" That's why I seem excited to be so catty towards her at the end!
