During this season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, we’ve watched Dorit Kemsley take her design skills beyond the fashion industry and into the delicious world of restaurants. Dorit had the opportunity to design a room at the Los Angeles Buca di Beppo, and in the August 19 episode, all of her hard work was finally unveiled.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Peacock and the Bravo App.

Dorit’s Capri Room served as the backdrop for Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave’s baby shower. Before the space was full of speculation surrounding a few text message screenshots, viewers got the chance to see it in all of its glory as Dorit and Kyle planned the evening.

“This is the first time I’ve ever designed a room in a restaurant. This is a big deal for me,” Dorit explained in an interview during the episode, adding, “In designing the Capri Room, I had a chance to really put myself back in magical Capri. The beauty, the allure, the colors, and the smells, it feels like you’re stepping into a restaurant in Capri.”

The Italian island of Capri is known for its gorgeous lemons, which were clearly the inspiration behind Dorit’s colorful design. The room is adorned with plenty of bright yellow lemons, which cover the walls and ceiling of the space. Dorit also filled the eatery with some beautiful, vibrant flowers, as well as a number of paintings featuring the cool blue waters of Capri.

Dorit explained her connection to restaurant chain Buca di Beppo on the May 13 episode, noting, “My son’s godfather, Robert Earl, who is a very dear friend of ours, owns the chain. When I moved, he’s like, ‘Well, you know Buca’s around the corner from you?’ And I said, ‘Oh my gosh, I might need to put my stamp on it.’”

As for Dorit’s future in the restaurant industry? It seems as though she’s taking it one step at a time.

“I decided to invest in just one location, and when you’re starting a new business venture, your reputation is only as good as what was last said about you,” she said.

Although she did not get into the details, Dorit recently teased that she and her husband, Paul “PK” Kemsley, are “working on some new ventures.” We can’t wait to see what they’ve been up to!
